Purpose-built equipment
Piano trolleys, skids and heavy-duty padding designed specifically for moving pianos safely, not general-purpose moving gear. This equipment spreads weight and absorbs shock in ways standard moving gear isn't designed to, protecting the instrument's internal mechanism as well as its casing.
Specialist trained crews
Handled by team members experienced specifically with pianos and fine art, not a general removals crew doing their best. They understand how weight, balance and fragile components behave differently to standard furniture, and plan the move accordingly.
Custom crating available
Bespoke crates built for particularly valuable, oversized or fragile pieces that need more protection than wrapping alone. We'll assess the piece and recommend crating where it genuinely adds protection, rather than as a default extra cost.
Full transit insurance
Cover appropriate to the value of what's being moved, agreed before the job starts. For higher-value pieces we can arrange additional cover, so you're never underinsured for what's actually being moved.
Before moving day we assess access, including stairs, doorways and lift size, so we know whether the piece can be carried conventionally or needs a specific lifting approach, rather than finding out with the piano halfway out the door.
